Six Months Married yesterday

My Baby, as i've posted before, is working late most nights. He'd be coming home at around 4 AM and would be hugging a sleeping me. I'd wake up around 6:30 AM and would be hugging a sleeping him. That's real sad because I miss being with him and talking to him.

Anyway, he made a deal with a colleague who agreed to take charge of the systems they're working on in Alabang so he can be with me. He decided to go to the Mall of Asia and watch Superman.

I didn't really have any intentions of watching the flick, and was not yet that curious about this behemoth of a mall but since it WAS a special day, we both braved the rains and went there.

Dinner at Bangus was nice. The mall was overwhelmingly vast so we only had enough time to go to Kopi Roti to buy some Kopi Buns (6 of them, wehehehe). We didn't know you had to buy tickets in advance for the IMAX showing (again, I wasn't yet that eager to be in an IMAX theater... and was willing to wait for the HP:OoTP movie) so we just watched Superman in the usual movie theater.

The movie was great (i'd post spoilers in my main blog instead) and the company was even greater. Loved just holding hands with my husband and smelling his scent and feeling his warmth beside me. Plus, we haven't actually made good with our plan to go on a date every week so being out together like that was really nice.

*~*

God, Life and Love blessed us for our monthsary by sending a hefty bonus my husband's way... enough so he can buy a new phone (he opted for the Motorola sliver phone and decided against buying a more expensive one lest he loses it again ahehe) and ask me what TREAT I want (and syempre, I dared not ask for a new cam since my S2 is still almost new... so I asked to use the credit card na lang however I wish since I need/want new clothes that fit, lipstick and bag plus massage and other pampering treats)... and also money for our Palawan trip.

Hay. That was a nice gift from the heavens above indeed. Tuloy na tuloy na our trip! I'm so excited ever!

And in love!

Missing my Baby

Maybe it's the hormonal imbalance and the period... but tonight, my Baby's late nights at work have officially gotten to me. Now, am officially moping here at home. Sniff... sniff...

*~*

BTW, had great fun with my Baby, his brother and their friends last Thursday night when we went dancing at Makati Shang's Conway's Bar :) We watched the Spirit of 67 band (for anyone who can afford it, esply for parents' wedding anniversaries, it's P90k for 3 sets of pure oldies fun).

Old couples, parents and grandparents were dancing... and they'd approach our table to tell hubby and I to go dance (because we'd usually be swaying in our seats). Twas really a blast meeting new friends in my husband's childhood friends (kids of his parents' friends).

Friday night I couldn't sleep while my exhausted (uyyy) hubby was already asleep. Then he shifts positions and wraps his arms around me... and I smile in the dark and tell myself, "Hay, ansarap ng may husband!"

So though I didn't wake him up to keep me company... I felt so good to belong to someone. Very comforting.

And yeah well... he did buy me two blocks of white chocolate.

Remembering fathers

At our wedding reception... four fathers gave speeches: Our fathers, my brother and one of our Principal Sponsors.

They were all different as can be, with varying child-rearing ways and motivations. They were not exactly models of what the ideal father should be like... and all are rasing kids of different ages. But they're all fathers. And they all love their kids. And they all watched my Baby and I grew up...

Anyway, belated happy father's day to them... and all fathers out there... and all those who feel like second fathers: stepdads, uncles, lolos, older brothers and cousins, older friends and mentors.

My Dad is in Michigan right now, Daddy Ruben is still attending to a sister who lost her husband, my brother is attending to his sick child, and I am helping Ninong Alex with his 25th wedding renewal next year.

Laiya trip of Babies

Apart from calling each other Baby, we also spent the weekend with our babies... baby brother and sister, that is.

I managed to finnagle a promise of a swimming trip from my Baby since I missed going with him to Zambales for their company outing. We decided to take our loved ones with us but ended with the youngests only...

It was nice for Jojo's parents to trust us with his 11-yr old brother. And my beloved MIL made her super-delicious chicken galantina four our baon. We slept over at my in-laws since we were borrowing their car for the weekend... and Jojo and I spent our first night apart (in the same place) since I made him bunk in with his family (baby Iya was visiting with his Mom, who didn't plan on spending the night there but went when she found out that Kuya was sleeping over) while I re-connected with my sis in his old bedroom (goodness, we were chatting till past 2 am).

MIL kidded my sis to stay with them so she can fatten her up. I showed my sis my in-laws' two fully-loaded refs and their stacked snack boxes as well as cartons and cartons of milk. My sis complained about being so full everytime she's there... ahehe.

The weekend was spent in swimming and soundstripping. We stayed at Triple-G resort (next to Kabayan) because when I was calling the other resorts, they were still fully-booked. I can't say Triple-G can compare with my original target resort (Virgin) but it's ok. Our cottage cost us P3,000 and it had a nice clean bed and a private CR plus a porch, and all the tables you need. Unfortunately, hubby and I didn't get decent sleep that night because we had to bunk together in the one bed available... both our siblings are used to sleeping all curled up... while we weren't. There was also only one electric fan to chase away mosquitoes. Twas when we were already leaving when we found that there was a mat we could have used.

And because it was a long weekend and many were squeezing some last-minute sun time, the laiya beach was jampacked with people. We rented a small boat to take us where the corals are so we can snorkel some. For P400, twas really fun but it could have been better if they provided better lifevests. We also didn't dare rent their snorkelling gear. But still, we got to fed the fish with the bread we had with us. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring a waterproof/disposable cam so I didn't have lots of pics for fear i'd drop the cam. Waves were also crashing on us and it hurt to drink the ulta-saline laiya waters. I told hubby that I don't ever want to go swimming there again because the water just really hurt. Ahehe. But i've said that all the times before and i've kept coming back.

The sunset was spectacular as usual but I was too busy frolicking with my loved ones to whip out my cam.

Jojo's brother Luis brought home stones and a henna tattoo, much to the chagrin of MIL.

My sis had to suffer a weekend-long lack of Sun signal. Ahihi.

But we had a blast. And it was so fun to be with our siblings... our youngests... the ones we've vowed to really take responsibility for as eldests. And it was heartwarming to see my sis (who's 20) acting as Ate to Luis (who's turning 12). I had asked my sis to embrace Jojo's family too because I said she'd be sharing my future kids with them.

Oh and my sis also fell in love with Iya (who's looking prettier by the day) and Imaw (the Arevalos' schnauzer-type dog.

Today we mostly just slept and watched TV and used the PC :D

No news is good news

There are a lot of things actually that are going in our married life. We fight, we adjust, we make love, we go out with separate group of friends, we hold each other, we watch DVDs and movies, we go on dates, we cuddle and kiss, we cook for each other (he cooked beef chao fan for me, I made him cathedral windows), we bought a computer table, we run out of money, we weigh the pros and cons of buying a car, we discuss our family issues, we deal with childhood memories, we visit Pyro, we love each other, we build dreams together, we make plans together.

And in the midst of getting more and more comfortable with each other... we fall in love all over again.
